• Open the SolidWorks software on Windows.
• Start Creating the Drawings or open any of the assembly files if you have it.

• The imported files look like the following, which contain drawings for each BOM component.

• Once you are done with the entire job drawing files processing, in order to synchronize that BOM with Odoo, Go to the Tools >> Macros >> Edit and choose the script file, i.e., the Macro file.

• Once the script file is opened, click on the Run button, which will open the following window, where you select the Main option and then click on the Run button as shown below:

• Once you click on the Run button, it will ask you for the drawing file location. Please select the drawing file location as shown below and then click on the OK button.

• After that, Bill will sync with Odoo, and the following window will be visible in SolidWorks, showing the BOM Reference, BOM Component count, Drawing file count, etc., created in the Odoo system.

• To check the BOM in Odoo, go to the Manufacturing >> Products >> Bill of Materials. Search with BOM reference:

• Open the BOM, and you can see the Finished Goods Product Drawing in the Attachment section. BOM Lines will be there in the BOM. It will also have drawing files attached with BOM components. Here, if any products that already do not exist in the system but came from the Job, then they would be created automatically in the system.

• You can see the BOM Components drawings by clicking on the View button.
• At the point in time, we are also saving those same drawings in the Product Record.

Note: If there is an existing BOM for the product, it would be updated with the latest values. If BOM does not exist, then a new BOM will be created.
